| February 10, 2006 After getting tired of dealing with
dirty carpet, worn parquet and stained tile grout, we decided
that concrete floors were the perfect solution for our active
adults plus 2 dogs, 2 cats and a 2-yr old grandson household
A friend, who works for a flooring contractor, removed our
old flooring and attempted to acid stain our concrete floors.
The result was a disaster, looking something like a bad drug
trip. The friend initially maintained that he could fix the
floors, but after several attempts to schedule the repairs, we
gave up and started looking at other options.
We found Xtreme Concrete Makeovers on the internet and
scheduled an appointment for Russ to come over and look at our
floors. He explained our options and we decided to go with a
Skim Stone floor.
The process took about three days to complete, from sanding,
to sealing the floor with epoxy to protect it from foot traffic.
Russ came over the next week for a couple of hours to fix some
spots where the epoxy had pooled. We’ll coat the floor with
acrylic when the epoxy has fully cured to give it a glossy look
and more protection.
We’re thrilled with the final product and we’ve been very
satisfied with Russ’s performance. He quoted a reasonable price,
showed up to do the job when he said he would, and came back
promptly to fix the minor issues. We would recommend him to
anyone who is interested in concrete floors for their home.
Sincerely,
Mike and Sandy |
